that is a really nice quilt. I wasn't online for the chat the other night. Could you tell us a little bit about the quilt?

This quilt is a prayer quilt. The lady it's being made for has cancer and her co-worker, an Elder at our church, asked that our Prayer Quilt Ministry make her one. The quilts are tied instead of quilted and each tie represents prayers having gone and continuing to go up for the individual we make them for. We've made about 235 in two years. There are about 5 of us who do this. We try to match the quilt material with the recipients interests/favorite colors. In this case - they lady loves tropical stuff. Don't know if you can tell or not, but some of the pink ribbon for cancer is in the quilt too. I'm going to tie this one with pink thread.

Quiltlady-thank you for telling me more about the prayer quilt. I have never heard of one before. That is a lovely thing for you to do. I know that the recipient of the quilt must really appreciate it, too. To be wrapped in all that love and those prayers must give a lot of strength to someone who needs it. It also says a lot about what a great person you are to do this for someone.
