    Purple Daisies or Sharon Schamber make a dissolving product that is great. There is a similar product called Wash-Away Applique that can go through an ink jet printer and will iron on.

    I haven't noticed shrinkage. Quilts are much more supple with wool. I switched last year and doubt I'll go back to cotton.
