    I use Crayola washable markers and have had no problems, but I also starch the crap out of my quilts for easier FMQ so I am actually marking on the starch and not the fabric.

    Thank you. I colored all the snowmen with white crayon first, then used the other colors over the white. Next you put a paper towel over the coloring and press with hot, dry iron to set the colors....
