frequently washed quilt
Does anyone have any tips on making a child's quilt that will be washed frequently. Should I machine stitch or tie? Should I make wider seams (.5")? Any help would be appreciated.

I use the small fleece blankets (50 x 60) for tablecloths. I quilt my quilt top on top and bind itl The tablecloth is thick enough that it protects my oak table underneath.

years ago when the diaper pins needed to be sharpened, we would poke them into a bar of soAP A few times. Theywent through the cloth diapers with no problem.

Years ago when we needed to sharpen the diaper pins, we poked them in a bar of soap. Had no trouble getting them through the cloth diaper.

I made one for my grandson with a light blanket...
I made one for my grandson with a light blanket as batting and flannel backing. It kept him warm and he loved the heavier weight on him when he slept.

I just wondered if anyone just changes the 1/4" seam to 1/2" seam for their quilts. I'm pretty new at quilting and feel I have better control with a little more seam allowance to "play with"?
