Heath Bars (munchy and crunchy good)
2 c. flour
1 c. butter, divided
1.5 c. brown sugar, divided
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 (16 oz.) pkg. semisweet choc. chips
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, 1/3 c. butter and 1 c. brown
sugar until fine. Spread mixture into 9x13 inch pan. Cover with pecans.
2) In small saucepan, combine 2/3 c. butter and 1/2 c. brown sugar. Cook
over medium heat, stirring constantly until entire surface boils 1/2 - 1 min.
Spread over nuts. Bake 18-22 min.
3) Remove from oven. Immediately sprinkle choc. chips over top; spread
evenly. Cool. Cut into bars. Yields 32 bars. :D
