Freda ... please feel free to take as long as you need. we don't have a deadline. post questions as comments as you want or need to. and YES, PLEASE let us see photos when you're finished - whenever that might be.

Dcurvey ... i'm afraid it would be impossible to tell you how much fabric to get unless i know the size block you plan to make, how many fabrics, etc. it varies from block to block. i've been working mostly out of my scrap bag since i make only one of each block. (ok. time for honesty. i make only one worth keeping. sometimes it takes more than one try to get it right. i have such pretty trash! LOL)

i don't think we've made any yet that would use more than 1/4 yard of any one fabric. some people buy fat quarters for each block. i assume they use the scraps later for something else. however, since fat quarters cost a lot more than buying a regular 1/4 yard, you should buy them only if you collect them for all or most of your quilting needs. less expensive to just buy a cut 1/4 yard.
