I have an expensive Husqvarna which I enjoy very much but then I have a $300 Janome that I use more often. My Janome is light and simple to work with. Go to the nearest sewing machine store and let the salesperson show you the different price levels. There are also refurbised embroidery sewing machines and carry a years guarntee.
