"Soft" English Toffee
Do you think it could have been the ingredients rather than the temperature that made it soft, such as more butter or cream?
I know there is soft crack and hard crack, but it would seem that alone may not make it softer, but maybe chewier or stickier? Not sure, just occurred to me.
