My end of day 1 -- I am using the square method and have all my squares cut out. I will be making my project slightly larger and so I am making some extra units each step. I still have some non-sewing things to do, we have to pick up the truck from the repair shop and then go to the gym.

Here's a picture of the wall end of my sewing desk with my color switch sign, and my "crumb" box. Also, the aluminum roasting pan I'm using as a collection tray. In the one corner is my open notebook resting on my so far unused gray (purple) stack. I have a low tolerance for small pieces and do not keep anything smaller than a 6.5" square myself. During the project, I will be throwing my selvages and small bits into the box for later use, and then it all gets packed up and sent away at the end.

edit: I just channel my inner Eleanor Burns and fling the bits into the box as I go!

I started the day with a fresh rotary blade (ahhh), and before I start sewing tomorrow I will make sure my bobbins are full (I only have 3, 1 is full, 1 is empty and 1 is ?? in the machine).

Hope you all had a lovely day of whatever you are doing!
