I understand your frustration, but the nearest Hancock is 4hrs. away for me. I, luckely have had no problems with them. The last time I was there I had to have 18 different fabrics cut in either 1/2 or 1 yd. cuts. Not one shrug or comment made. Just happy to do it for me.

I went back to Hancock's yesterday to get my 40% discount on the muslin that I had purchased on Thursday. The manager was checking customers out so I got to tell her my story. She could not have been nicer and took care of the situation quickly and efficiently. She apologized profusely for the treatment that I had received. So...............I will go back whenever the sales beckon. I love their 47-48" wide permanent press muslin. It is perfect for the lap quilts that I make.

so sad about your local Handcocks, but I have to tell you about mine. It is Handcocks of Paducah, NOT to be confused with the chain stores. They are great, the best thing I love about them is all the gals and guys who work there. They are so nice and helpful.
The week of the Paducah quilt show, we got a chuckle out of the porta potties out side for men, inside was for ladies only.
I like when you go to the cutting counter with a stack of fabrics, and one gal is helping you, and another is not busy she offers to help too. They are nice to each other as well as the custumer. would be a nice place to work.
I so love that Hanckocks of Paducah! They have great mail servics too, If I do not feel like driving into town I can call and order what ever and it gets here right pronto! Or you can order on line too.
Any one who comes to Paducah knows that our store is not the same as the chain stores. My sister spent well over $500. this year all from the sales table, I only got $100. worth as was low on funds, and had to have some for the show.
So if you are ever close by do stop in Handcocks of Paducah, you wont't be dissapointed.

Love Hancocks of Paducah! Was there during the show, and they were all so patient and nice. That never would have happened in any other of the chain stores.

Handcocks of Paducah is no part of the handcocks chain stores in any way, they are so different. Paducah has great quality fabric, tons of it LOL and great service. Love that store!

I have not had any bad things happen at my Hancocks. However you do have to wait at time to get material cut or to check out, but they are very friendly. If I haven't been in awhile they always ask if I have been sick or what.
