There is also a very nice fabric shop. I can't remember the name of it but it's in a strip mall on the corner of Charleston & Decatur. I buy something everytime I go there.

Have fun. I'll be in LV Mar 3 so I hope to make a stop there, too.
The shop is called Fabric Boutique. They have a website too. It was just sold so they have a new owner but a lot of the same people working there.

Thanks, quiltluvr. Those linked shops look great, too. If you can't find what you need in them, you don't need it. LOL It will be fun to ck them out.

While in Vegas, Check out "Quiltique" 213 N. Stephanie in Henderson. My favorite spot to shop while out there.

    You're welcome.

There's actually two more in the "area" of Las Vegas. One is in Boulder City called Fiddlesticks Quilts. That's one I personally like to visit when I'm in the area.

There's another called The Christmas Goose in Vegas, off Durango and Sahara. That's probably my second favorite.

    Have a GREAT visit!

Thanks for telling about the books at Big Lots. I went yesterday and bought the same two that you got. There was another on applique, but I didnt need it. I also bought two of the floor lamps like oto lights. My husband wanted one by his chair in the bedroom to read his Bible. The other is by my quilt I am handquilting.

Good for you! I haven't ever checked Big Lots for anything related to quilting. However I have purchased a number of Fons and Porter notions at Tuesday Morning at a fabulous price; a big markdown from what you might pay at JoAnn's for the identical thing. I bought blunt tip sewing scissors that come in a velvet bag, basting pins in different sizes, directional pins, and small rulers and templates. I was able to purchase nice gifts for the ladies in our church sewing group by shopping the Fons and Porter notions at Tuesday Morning. Makes you feel so good when you run across that kind of a deal :D
