I like blogs that don't load too slowly. Like huge file size pics or too many pics on one post would make it load slowly. Also no music (I won't even read a blog w/ music). I do like to read so wordy is not a problem for me.

The blogs I've followed over the years have a few things in common, regardless of blog topic:
1. Fun to read - the blogger is literate and amusing, has a good sense of humor
2. There are occasional useful links, but the entire blog is not just a collection of links.
3. I like tutorials and free patterns, but I don't follow a blog just because they provide tutorials. I usually stumble onto blogs that I like through a google search on a particular subject, say "freemotion quilting tutorial", but if quality #1 is absent, it will be a one time visit.
Pet pictures and pet stories are of very little interest to me. They're something I just skip over to get to the good stuff.
