. . . and now you have opportunity to take quilting to its highest level. I believe it's known as "caressing." Enjoy that the match that was meant to be has finally happened. Thanks for sharing your blessing with us.

How wonderful for you. I have the two baby quilts my mom hand pieced just before she passed last April. They are so special to me.

How nice of your cousin to give the blocks to you, it is very meaningful to have something handmade by your mother, it would be very special to me as is to you. I would have cried as well, a nice treasure.

In addition to the 20 blocks, there are some uncut feed sack material as well as a box full of cut material that she had not yet pieced.
One member posted that my pics were not very clear, and suggested new batteries. I took that suggestion and also turned off my flash so I turned it off and I think these are also much clearer.

Someone also asked if this material really came from feed sacks. The answer is yes. My mom used to raise baby chicks. She used to order her baby chicks through the Henry Fields catalog and the baby chicks would be delivered to us by the mailman. I just loved spring, the baby chicks were so soft and wonderful.

I'm so happy for you and your mom did an awesome job. I noticed the centers were outlined like the rays of the sun, awesome idea. Your mom must have been very creative. What a treasure.
