Let me know (send pm) when you will be in the area and maybe we can visit Mary Jo together at the store (she is a very nice lady).

Their cotton selection is HUGE! But realize at least 1/2 the store is other types of fabric (decorating, formal gowns, lace, etc).

Is the one in Houston "High Fashion Fabrics"? Do they have that much in quilting fabrics? Because last time I went (which was Many years ago before their move), they had more of the high fashion than any real quilting material.

I forgot about High Fashions..haven't been there in years. Use to be the go to place when I was making formals for the daughter. Don't know about their quilting fabric. Will check them out next time I haul downtown to lunch with DH.

Wow. I'd just be happy to have more small quilt shops in my area. We have 2 very small ones, and they don't even have as much of a selection as Walmart :(

No, the store I am talking about is in La Porte which is near Galveston. The Painted Pony is exclusively quilting fabric. You are correct High Fashion has mostly clothing fabric.

My bet would be Marshall's in Ar They have 5 wearhouses full of fabric. But that is probably not considered a stictly a quilt shop, more of a fabric shop.
