Heading to Maui next week! First big trip with the kids (14 and 16) while they are old enough to travel well and young enough to still want to travel with us, lol. Looking forward to it!

We will be going to NYC for a week, my favorite city to visit. Then on to to Jersey shore for some beach time. SIL has two beach condos, she rents one out and keeps one for family use. We will be combining vacation with house hunting. DH wants to retire soon. We want to move to a tourist attraction town so our kids/grands will have lots to do when they visit and give us varied activities to do with our time also. DH and I want to feel like we are on vacation every day.

We rarely travel out of state to vacation, we prefer to stay mostly local. Our idea of a vacation is visiting friends who live in another section of the state or a good camping trip to the mountains or the coast depending on what we're feeling at the time. With the money climate being like it is, we'll spend out money close to home.
