Gotta set restrictions for "In App purchases" which can be made without a password.

Use a parental control and do not store your passwords.
    Hope for the best outcome.

I also have an iPad, love it, our grandchildren are here for the summer. They ask for "games" to be put on, some there is a fee, but most all of them are free. I have to put in my password for them to get it thru iTunes, or it won't go thru. Somehow you better change your password, I'm afraid she knows it!!!

And the company knew just what they were doing charging $90.00 for a Barbie App. Sounds like they are just waiting to have this happen.

my 8 year old granddaughter bought 2 songs from ITunes by watching her mom type in the password, memorizing it,& using it to buy the songs. They cost far less than $99.99. I think I'd change the password, check with the ITunes people to see what they can do about the situation.

I download from Itunes all the time and am always asked for my password, even for free apps. I would call them and ask. I have found that Apple has excellent customer service.

This isn't an Apple problem so no need to call Apple. It's an iTunes problem. iTunes is supported separately from Apple and you need to go through iTunes.

Go to the iTunes support page at apple.com/support/itunes for help with this.

Also, make sure you change your iPad settings to not remember your password in iTunes. If your iPad is stolen, anyone can access your account if you leave your password unprotected.

If you need help figuring out how to change your iTunes settings go to the above-mentioned support page.

Is there a cooling off period after purchase?I'd explain the situation and ask for their understanding.

There's no cooling off period. The quicker you respond the better results you'll get. You want to bring this problem to iTunes attention immediately. If you wait awhile they'll be less understanding. You don't want them to think you used the App for awhile before complaining about the problem.
