    Thank you. I realized that after I had finished it off and the peaks are a little bulky. Can you put batting in them? Are they better with or without batting?

    There is an adorable pattern for Dresden Plate placemats and table runner called Black-eyed Susans in the Aug/Sept. The Quilter magazine. It is the Dresden plate with the scalloped edge and it recommends clipping every 1/4 inch in the seams before turning through the hole. Simple but amazing pattern!

    Thank you. What about the batting? Does it call for batting?

    Yes, the pattern calls for batting for both the tablerunner and placemats. In the picture it looks like thin maybe Warm and Natural? I would use my Hobbs 80/20 fusible if I do them.
