Okay, so I finally figured out at the end that this is a show in Sisters, Oregon... right? when is it usually held?

What are some other good big shows that people really like? I'm thinking about going to the Quilting Fest in Houston in October, but I'd like to find out about some others.

Wow - what a great way to spend a day.
    Glad the sun was out.

A couple of years ago they started closing off the roads through town to all through traffic. Now you can walk down the middle of the street without worrying about getting run over.

I live in Albany, less than 3 hours away. Last year was my first time attending this show, but I hope to go every year from now on.

I think it's the first Saturday after the 4th of July, or something like that. That's supposed to be the weekend when it's least likely to rain in Sisters. And yes, it's in Oregon. It's really famous as one of the few big outdoor quilt shows.

I know the Tokyo quilt show is really big.

Thanks for giving us a small idea of this wonderful show. Your choice of longer range shots was the right one; nice to see a little of the town.

Dunster - thanks for sharing your pics with us! It's always the 2nd Saturday in July and a week of classes before. It was so much fun specially our meeting everyone in the park.

For all that are planning a trip next year to Sisters- I'm sure all of us from the Board will meet again in the park.

A quilting friend went up this year 2012 and said it was just the best show.
