Girl ... go for it! Don't you know that's why they have those desks in the hotel room? It's for your sewing machine & all your stash ... don't forget your rotary cutter and cutting mat and plenty of thread and bobbins. Sounds like heaven to me!

You go, girl! Of course we understand. Take that machine...it's part of your life!!!! Just think, it'll be waiting for you when you return from activities and want to wind down. Have a happy ;-)

I always take applique work or something that requires hand work when traveling. DH has finally come to terms with it. Always ask when leaving on trip if I have my sewing :D

I'm going to Houston tomorrow and its breaking my heart to leave my sewing machine behind. With all the activities that have been planned there's just no time left to sew.

LOL, we recently had to get a newer car and I was "sort-of" teasing when I said: Oh, wow, there is a real plug in here, I can take my sewing machine and quilt in the car.

I've done the same thing. I don't travel as much as I used to, but I'm currently on the third of the "hotel quilts" series.

I understand completely. It's kind of like the time I was going to be in the hospital for 4 days. My bag of things to do was heavier than my bag of clothes and toiletries. I never had a chance to do anything (I was in gaga land after the procedure) but I had stuff to do just in case.
