on page 6 there is a kit called Quilt Magic. You use foam board, fabric and a punch tool to make framed quilts. Has anyone done this? I have foam board. I have fabric. I think I could draw a design on the board and use a knife to push the fabric into the foam board.
Any ideas if this would work? Have you ever seen this?

sure, it's fun and fast and easy... be sure to put a thin batting under the fabric...i only mention it because you didn't.... it makes the final product softer and more finished looking... you will love this...

I have done several of their kits and really liked doing them. You use a tool that is much like a crochet hook that is flattened on one end. The foamboard is covered with thin foam sheeting, so you don't have to use batting. The picture is cut into the foam and the styrofoam board underneath. You get a paper pattern for cutting out pieces. The pieces need to be larger than the area they cover so that you can push the edges down into the slits.

for $23.00 you can get a 4x8 sheet of foam core board at about 1/2 to 3/4 inch and have money left over for fabric. score it with a paring knife and tuck your pieces in with a butter knife.

Its cheaper direct from Ebay and more options too. I love doing the silly things. You can just order the form or add the fabric she sells. Done it both ways, it is fun.
