on page 6 there is a kit called Quilt Magic. You use foam board, fabric and a punch tool to make framed quilts. Has anyone done this? I have foam board. I have fabric. I think I could draw a design on the board and use a knife to push the fabric into the foam board.

Any ideas if this would work? Have you ever seen this?

sure, it's fun and fast and easy... be sure to put a thin batting under the fabric...i only mention it because you didn't.... it makes the final product softer and more finished looking... you will love this...

The ones I have seen have a thick foam , so if you have the thicker foam board it can't hurt to try to make your own

I have seen it and It is awesome. I used to do ornaments like that using a styrafoam ball and squares of fabric.

I've seen those offered by vendors at quilt shows, they're pretty neat! Can't wait to see yours!

I just checked. The foam board I have is only 1/8" thick. I bet I need thicker than that. I do want to try this though

for $23.00 you can get a 4x8 sheet of foam core board at about 1/2 to 3/4 inch and have money left over for fabric. score it with a paring knife and tuck your pieces in with a butter knife.

Its cheaper direct from Ebay and more options too. I love doing the silly things. You can just order the form or add the fabric she sells. Done it both ways, it is fun.
