Everyone, thank you TONS for the nice comments you all made about my monster,lol. It is folded neatly and tucked safely in my spare closet until after the holidays and I can start quilting it.

Beautiful!!!! I just started this project, I am hand appliqueing, I have 5 blocks done and it may take me 17 months too. I chose the same background fabric but in a dark green. I am inspired to get moving, thanks for sharing
