I had a good smile, you see in this house if i could get that toilet seat set down it would be a miracle so no slamming lids around here. If you could design a stop closing the damned door so friggen hard thing I would be eternally grateful however. why if you know someone else is a sleep cant you hold that handle turned til its quietly closed then release it? nooo you just plunk it shut CLUNK its shut. grand. we all have our little things don't we? great invention when I had boys it would have been a nice addition. of course they were leave the seat up kids too. wonder if their girls are retraining them.

I saw your dragonfly and its so pretty. Reminded me I saw this thing on pinterest on how you bake marbles they get this crackled exploded look inside its super pretty .. then you can use them in jewelry or in making... dragonflys forgot I wanted to try that. Now to find some pretty marbles to explore with... hard to get up here. guess I can order a bag .. any ideas on Marbles that are not highly expensive anyone?

Linda, I forgot to comment on the superb picture of you mom. I can see by the look on her face and in her eyes where you get your sense of humor. I did the marble thing about 40 years ago. You pour the marbles in a skillet and dwirl it around until they are warm. Then you pour them gently in cold water and they crack. Some break clear in two but some only crack. I am sitting under the lamo right now that I made with them. (It was a kit) Do not know where they can be bought now but bet the quality won't be as good. I had to put a little bit of quilting on the tank toper so it would qualify in my mind as a quilted object. I had thought of making a pieced one and that idea is still floating around in my mind. Maybe a french braid pattern? Will post a pic if it ever develops.

Hmm, well......How about a wall hanging swap in general and you pick the room & colors? Honestly, mine would be used as a runner, lol. We have like nothing on our walls, except a big mirror by the front door. Well, I guess if I got a big wide one in some good colors to put over our king size bed it would be hung up. I've been looking for good art to put up there, something striking. I was thinking of making something and stretching it over a canvas frame after I finally do our quilt.

OK, back to work. I have my food for thought. Once we get everyone shipped, I'll do a poll to see what we want to do next. My next project is a wallet for my friend and then a tissue box holder with built-in trash bag with straps to hang it on a walker for a friend's mom who is in a nursing home. I've been told once I make 1 of those I'll have orders for 10 more from the other residents, lol.

4 more hours of work, then quilting tonight! I will get done on time! I will get done on time!

oh oh that looks sooo cute! sunflowers with sunflowers! very very cute. Like you shopped for it yourself!

Marbles mail to: Avery Ca oh yes or you try them and tell me how it works try the blue ones I am dying to try the blue ones scares the beggebas out of me baking a marble then tossing it in ice water but well will wear goggles promise.

wall hangings: Dustys mom I have this piece of fabric I bought at a quilt show. its like a sunset colored piece? I took it stapled it to a canvas frame and hung it in my livingroom. no frame on it. wanted to do a window frame one of those old weathered white washed ones? but didnt have the cash resources but its so pretty.. its a statement on its own. You should try it. audition different fabrics.. over your bed (thumb tacks) and then stand back. one will say ohhhh yeah. see cheap art

I am all for a vote. My vote (roll your eyes) hey it wrks for me!!! OK not a welcome sign but what about wall art??? modern? impressionistic? realisitic? whimsical? COlOR something outside YOUR BOX? see we need to keep stepping outside our own box to grow as artists and quilters are artists.. fabric is paint... so..... (le brat is not on drugs thank you very much and no I didnt forget my pills). Just bored with the same old same old. and if ya all want the same old ok but someone here will jump ship with me and go for ..new. then you can PM me and leave poor Dustysmom to rest up from this one. We can even do them for ourselves? and then show and tell? this way not stuck with someones.. wild interpretation of what you wanted? I am courageous LOL. you can send me wild interpretations. Life is so short. so go for it.
