Love your potholder..too pretty to get messy...I made some log cabin ones from orphan blocks but don't think I got enough of the Insulbrite because it really gets hot...made sure I put it in right but only used one layer..Perhaps two?

These are really pretty!! I like making my own so they are actually protect me. The store bought ones often seem too thin.

It's so fun to make your own. I sprayed mine with Scotch Guard fabric protector and it seems to last through a few washes. I also use Resolve Stain Stick, putting it on and letting them sit till I do laundry.

Quote: Very pretty. I shudder to think what they would look like after a month in my house, like gravy splatters and grease globules. I think I would hang those up for "show" and use my uglies for real.

Never did see what you used for "heat-resistance". Could you add to post please? Thx.

You did a wonderful job on your potholders, the binding is really great, very professional looking. I have a tendency to get a little sloppy with pot holders, but will have to rethink that as yours are beautiful and well made.

Oh, my favorite color, that is next to red! Very nice and such a nice size for taking to potlucks also.
