Sure looks like one of the very first primitive sewing machines ever built..... NOT!!
Goes to show, never trust an antique shop "expert"
and these folks must have an interesting research source...

does anyone here know where singer stop production on treadle stands ??
I've been doing some reseach on just treadle stands. most anything I find on the net , doesn't match up with what has turned, Like I've read it was around 1946. I'm thinking the open leg style not a palor
