I have also been collecting this type of novelty fabrics with the idea of a jar quilt eventually.

The Galleria pattern is new to me and ideal for focus prints! Thanks for sharing!

I just finished this brick/basket weave quilt using novelty fabrics. It goes together quickly since you are only adding the "sashing" to 2 sides. I used this pattern as inspiration
    http://www.maryquilts.com/wp-content...est-Bricks.pdf
but I changed the brick size to 4.5 x 6.5, and the sashing to 1.5 wide (or wider to allow for squaring up to a 6.5 inch unfinished block).

Love this idea. Different fabric in each jar.

I agree with Barb in Louisiana. I made one like that - jars full of snacks, fruit and other items for my Granddaughter's I Spy Quilt. Jenny has a tutorial on Missouri Star quilt site. Really fun and cute, too!

I just worked on a quilt using veggies and fruits using Quiltville's Bricks & Stones. The large rectangle is 3 x 6 so a fairly decent size to show your fabric. Would have gotten this quilt finished if I had enough of the border fabric in my stash. Waiting for my order to arrive from CT.

This was my first thought as well.
