Thanks so much for creating and leading these mysteries. I didn't want to work with triangles before but your mysteries have given me the confidence to do it. It also helps that I found a mini triangle ruler in a stash that was given to me. It really helps me cut/trim my triangles neatly.

    Off to sew.

Now that I stitched the last line of quiting on a quilt I started a long time ago, I can go on to clue 3. Thanks Judy.

Looks like this will turn out gorgeous!

Yea! I finished my clue 2 triangles just in time to do this next step. Off to lunch with DS before I start so he doesn't get too hungry as I'm sure he didn't eat breakfast.

hated to do triangles, but Judy, you make it so easy. and lets face it, if you want a quilt that zings, you do need triangles.

I've hit a couple of snags ... just wondering if anyone else has had these problems:

    1) my seems are pressed exactly wrong for matching the step 2 triangles to the step 1 four-patches. I will have to re-press the triangles to the lightest side, to get them to nest with my four-patches. Would it have been better to just press all seams open?

    2) after sewing these together, my blocks are coming out closer to 8 3/4 . I'm going to trim them to 8 5/8. Hope I don't lose too many points. Are these seams all pressed to the outside?

Since I am a fairly new quilter and never made a scrappy quilt, I was a little apprehensive to do this mystery quilt. I seem to have a problem with things that don't match. That's exactly what a scrappy is. Well, I've taken the plunge and have the first and second clues finished. Now to start on this new one. I will have to wait and make judgement once everything is put together. Who knows...I'll either love it or hate it. I can always donate it to something.
