I so enjoy the placemates, OhCanada! They are not my "style" but they are lovely and... fun.

Thanks for the nice compliments on my star quilt.

There have been some more great finishes since that! I try to look but don't always have time to comment on them all. I do want to say...

Krista, I think the red piping really makes the quilt pop...great addition. The quilting is pretty too, glad you were able to finish it up.

Woo hoo and Toot, Toot on an exciting UFO finish Krista! Amazing quilting. The colors are wonderful and the 3D aspect of it is unexpected. Congratulations!

Another March finish. The pace has slowed but that's to be expected. We're still rolling along nicely.

Quilting done, and I added a red piping to frame it a bit, because it was feeling a bit lost in the background. So glad I didn't let this one go back into the UFO pile! This photo isn't great for showing the quilting, since it's getting dark and I had to use flash on it. Second photo is a better closeup of the quilting.

And a closeup of some of the quilting. I wanted the design to pop, so I quilted the background densely and left the red areas and 3D pieces unquilted (just outlined them).

Jaba - loving those colors and design
Krista - the edge made the quilt - or at least I thought it did...then I saw the quilting. and the 3D and my jaw dropped and the drool ....
Rob - what can I say - to be able to be so creative and not just traditional but modern - is such a gift and thank you for sharing it with us

The blue and white quilt was from a swap last year. I had gotten it put together, than it sat to be quilted, and sat to binded, and sat to be washed. But it is done - YEA...oh my - just realized that you can see the striped fabric on the back as I only used a flannel sheet for batting.
My daughters FIL passed in September so she brings me a bag with tshirts and ties. I have been playing with them ever since. without a wall in my home on wheels this is difficult. But I am so happy the way it ended up.

travelinggramma..interesting how your blue and white quilt was constructed..I like the design, and see that it is an alteration of the two simple small blocks are which are flipped to give the overall design...looks more complex than it really is...the more I look at it the more I like it...

Fantastic job quilting, Krista! I love the red piping you did. Are the curvy triangles 3D or is that an optical illusion? Way cool quilt!
