After seeing Julienm1's post about this pattern, I looked at my two shoe boxes of 2 1/2 inch strips and decided to try the pattern. OMG!!! I was having fits!! I am not a newbie at piecing or pressing, but this sucker was beyond frustrating. A dear friend and wonderful quilting buddy suggested breaking down the block and piecing it in a more traditional way. That definitely worked for me. But I absolutely could not join two blocks together so that everything aligned. Back to the 'more than frustrated' mode. I had 48 blocks that were ready to be tossed.

I have a mantra--'When nothing else works, sash'. I did a couple and could still see the crappy unaligned strips. But when I laid them on point, my eyes no longer focused on this strips.

This will be going to our guild's Community Quilts and right now, I would quite willingly burn the pattern--except I kind of really like how it turned out. Thanks for reading about my journey and thanks for looking.

Well I really like how it turned out too! I would probably go nuts trying to piece it so if you have pictures of the individual block you assembled please show us the easier way. I love your quilt!

Toogie, I can do that. My sister asked the same thing and I took pics as I put a block together, so maybe I'll do a tutorial. Thanks!
