Default Need help deciding on new machine

I've been deciding on purchasing a new embroidery only machine but can't decide between going with a Babylock Reflection or the Brother Celeste Cx1e machine. I can get both of them now on a preorder for the same price. However, the Brother will go up another $2300 at end of September. I'm baffled by that price increase as they appear to be the exact same machine with only a few minor differences. Which would you go with? Or would you go in a completely different brand/machine route...help me out.

I have a brother embroidery machine and love it. A friend has a Baby lock and they work the same. One come with built in Disney designs and the other with ? I think it's flowers.

I have an older Brother embroidery that has Disney designs. The Disney designs get old fast. My friend has the Babylock and it has a lot more different designs and no Disney. As far a performance both machines are great.

My old embroidery machine was a Brother 8200 that I upgraded the motherboard to a 8500. I never got heavily into machine embroidery but wanted to start back doing it again. After 29 years that machine finally died and it is just not worth it to repair it (cheaper to buy a new machine). It didn't have disney designs on it and I've accumulated enough embroidery designs over the years that a new one doesn't have to have a bunch of them on it. Just want a machine for occasional use and easy.

I would love to have a complete comparison of the differences in these 2 machines. Maybe a dealership that sells both brands that wouldn't be biased about one brand over the other one will do it soon. Thanks again for the response.

Google compare...then list both machines. See if someone has compared the,.
    or
Print out the features of each machine and compare yourself. Check for m largest hoop size.
also google pros and cons on each machine.

You may want to check out Janome 550E.,have heard they are great machines.
    good luck.

Have done just what you stated. Both have the same size hoops. The only difference I seem to find between them was the included embroidery designs. Brother has more designs than the Babylock. I was just wanting some expert opinions and see if anyone caught something that I wasn't seeing to warrant a $2300.00 increase in machine price on the Brother besides just the embroidery designs. I don't need all those designs. I also looked at the Janome 550e at dealership and it has more maintenance than I want to take on due to medical issues at this time plus it has been "retired" by Janome. They now advertise only the 550e limited edition which in my opinion is just the standard machine that they discontinued/retired (no new changes on it) and it still has too much maintenance for me. But on a high note I bought a new Juki tl-18qvp collector's edition while there...and it sews like a dream. Now still need to decide to buy or wait for other embroidery machine. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Someone asked if I got a new machine and I did!

I ended up going with the Brother Celeste Embroidery Machine for such a ridiculously low price that I just couldn't pass it up (trust me a whole lot less than the pre-sale promotions of $5999+). I couldn't believe it when dealer quoted the price to me but she stated only downside was that I had to wait a week for one to be ordered. Umm, okay what was a week to me for more than a thousand less than promotion price. And the next week later I was the proud owner of a new model embroidery machine.

That was in September. I've had some health issues and was just able to take it out of the box yesterday so haven't had a lot of time to play. So far though it has nice stitches but will be a big learning curve from my 29 year old Brother Pc-82/8500 machine that I hadn't touched in years. Wish me luck that I remember hooping, stabilizers, etc.
