Good morning, Bloomers! Just updated the gallery. Lovely blocks, Bibliostone, A2P and WMUT.

TG, it was good to hear from you. I hope the next few weeks fly by and you'll be back to sewing shortly after. As for PT, I recall vividly the pain sometimes. Hang in there!

SBG, you must be pleased to be so close to finishing BurgSur. I think we're all looking forward to seeing your accomplishment.

Terriamn, so happy you are enjoying your adventure!

I zigged when I should have zagged. I was going to quilt the fish tops but I came across small pieces of batting, perfect for my second Boom 34 blocks so I started to QAYG on them. Maybe I'll have that finished next week as it's about to get busy here with having the grands tomorrow night and then some house projects next week before our DS from KS is coming in for a long weekend visit. We'll see when it gets done.

Hope everyone has a pleasant day.

*****

All2, I am familiar with one of Brackman's books but not the Civil War one. I love history so I may just add that one to my birthday and Christmas list. Thank you for the blocks and the touch of history about each. Love it.

I was able to sneak on for a few minutes. The commencement ceremony is just starting and I am view online. Seating is limited to four per student. Parents and brother were priority for in person viewing.

A2P and B'stone, great blocks!

Hopefully I will get that big bugger Burg Sur finished today! Only the sashings are left to quilt (minimally) and then I'll trim and bind it.

I like to QAYG each Boom block, too, but my Juki 2010Q domestic has a problem that when you drop the feed dogs, they won't come back up. I've taken it for repair for this twice, and it's $100 each time. So I just won't drop feed dogs anymore. I'll do all my quilting, big and small, on my Juki longarm. One day I'll probably replace the Juki domestic. I think I wore it out. I sew a lot and I sew fast, so maybe it's just shot.

We have GLORIOUS weather today! It's a shame to even be indoors.

SBG, too bad about the feed dogs on the Juki. That must be frustrating. I always wonder if mine will pop back up. They hesitate a moment and then they click into place. I just opened my machine up for a bobbin change and found a lot of red lint, presumably from the last red and white quilt I finished. And I thought I’d cleaned it out. Apparently not. Oops.

I'm off to my neighbor’s house for a couple of hours. She has been declining so I don’t know what I’ll find today. Maybe it’ll be a good day for her.

We are finally home and don’t plan on any more trips till August. We put 6,000 miles on our car since we left Texas. Time for another oil change

Janice and Sewbiz I had turnip greens served with vinegar. Oh my they were delicious! It’s definitely something you can’t get around here, will have to sit down and go through some recipes.

Hubby found this print at one of the quilt shops, My granddaughter has chosen Winnie the Pool for her nursery and she has so many books collected already for the little one. We knew she would love it. What ever pattern I decide on it will be something quick, to be truthful Pooh and I have seen to much of each other lately.

Had planned on sewing tomorrow it’s supposed to be rain and wind tomorrow but hubby still wants to go to the lake. If weather is tooo bad it will be a good excuse to head home and sew

On the ride home I was reading about early quilt blocks and trying to unify them to one name instead of every region having a different name. Very interesting
