Your fabrics look lovely. I have seen 2 books at my library-Fat Quarter Quilts and Fat Quarter Quilts 2. I haven't looked at them though so I have no idea what the quilts look like. But if your library has a copy you can check and see if it has anything you would like.

I just love it when someone (you) asks for suggestions. I get more bookmarks and ideas! I absolutely love your choices. I would think something with sashing.

Fantastic fabric, and a challange to use it all in one quilt to it's best advantage. I'll be thinking about this one as I hit the hay tonight, I have a pattern book in mind, but can't for the life of me think of it right now - Maybe in the morning... :?

here is a facsimile of a block made from scraps as a possible block using my yardage. The block is five inches with a black 1 inch slashing. I am wondering if it might look better using an eight inch block with 1 inch slashing.

    a possibility?

I like it! I do agree it would look better as an 8-inch block with 1-inch sashing. Happy sewing!

This is the book I was thinking of. You can use the beautiful large floral as the focus blocks, and the wonderful fat quarters as accents. I have the book, but haven't made any of the patterns yet - they are suppose to work up really fast.

They are stunning fabrics! If you're in the market to buy a pattern, check out http://www.sweettreat.com/Version2/catalog/ They have great patterns designed to use 8 fat quarters plus background. Their sweet treat set of FQ's are gorgeous. First saw them vending at the Vermont Quilt Festival and I always look for them now.
