    Thanks! That is encouraging to hear. I may give that a shot. I have this pattern on my to do list but have been holding off because of both finding the right fabric and deciding which way to applique. Since it is a chidlren's quilt and it should be used I did not feel like needle turning.

    I did raw edge applique(Heat and Bond) with a satin stitch. I did a block first and threw it in every laundry load for a week. It took a beating and the edges hadn't frayed so I felt good about that!
