    31 years ago we bought our house from a woman because she went into a nursing home. The house was built in 1918, and she and her husband bought it in 1920. (The house was as you'd expect it to be, there were never any children) Not only did we buy the house, we bought everything in it which had not been gone through in years, as she was bedridden.
    Among other things were a dozen pillowcases, with embroidery and crocheted edging. I've kept them all these years knowing I did not want to just throw them away, and now I know what I want to do. I feel kind of stupid I didn't thinkl of this LOL

    Wonderful idea! Love the quilting on the quilt, also. I have pillowcases that were made by my great grandma. Never laid a hair on them. Maybe they will move to the quilting room. Another quilt on the list to make.

    I have some wonderful embroidered pillow cases from my grandmother. did you cut around the work and applique it on? If so it is wonderful and looks like the work was done right on the quilt. thanks for the idea
