I really like that pattern where did you get it or did you draw your own?
I also think it would make for a great looking quilt.

Sharon, your celtic design is lovely and the home-made bias binding is perfect for the colours and a money-saver, just patience with the iron eh :?

Very nice design and well executed! Looking forward to seeing the finished top!

Quote: I thought I would share with you my first attempt at a celtic design. I have done this in creams and greens. It is also the first time I have made my own bias binding to outline the design. But I think it worked well. The dots just seem to position themselves were they are - great.
I am planning to make some more and perhaps make them into a quilt. It is on a 16" background, so wouldn't need many to make a decent sized quilt.
Hope you all like it.

Sorry will need to experiment with the brightness, can't really see the colours of the fabrics. Will try and update later.

Sharon you have done a beautiful job of this! I've done a couple of celtic design pieces and my favourite way of 'appliquing' the tape to the design is by machine! You are so patient handstitching it! :) I use a 4mm wide twin needle with my tape at 6mm wide - sews both sides at once! Joining in with the others in knowing about your design - love it!
