Oh I do hope he goes with a museum and not a private individual. As so many have said, such a beautiful piece of history needs to be where it can be properly cared for and maintained so that it can be viewed by many for years and years to come.

Perhaps Eleanor Burns would be interested in this one.

If no one in the family wants it, it would be perfect for a quilt museum. It's not often they have a chance for such a perfect specimen and it would be preserved for a long time that way. If I thought I could afford it, I would buy it!! I absolutely love it.

OMGoodness!!!!!  I wouldn't get rid of that quilt for anything!!! It's absolutely a work of art! It's such a treasure! However, I guess if he doesn't feel any real attachment to it, then it would be best to either sell it or bequeath it to someone who could really appreciate its beauty and value. It's certainly museum-quality, and any museum in its right mind would love to have it!!

What a gorgeous quilt. Is he a young man? I think he has no sentimental feelings for it, but it is so gorgeous. I would try to encourage him to keep it or give it to someone special. What a shame he cannot appreciate it.
