Also, My dear MIL, always made quilts for the grandkids etc.
Never had one herself, so for her 50th Wedding anniversary
I made her one. And then two years ago, made her a lap
quilt for her chair. I know how much she appreciated it because
she knew the love that was in them both. She is 87 and started
with Alz. but she is my inspiration for quilting and in life. She has
and still is a great person, I don't think anyone could bragg about their
MIL like I can. She is an angel.

Quilts on beds in 4 bedrooms in my CT house - including the 1st I made for DD in '73, 2nd I made for DS in '74. Also, 4 lap quilts & many quilted pillows. I had to practice on something!

In AZ, we sleep under the queen-sized quilt I made for my folks for their 50th anniversary in '85. I'll post a picture tomorrow if I remember ~ ~ ~

The first one is on my bed, the second is on my guest bed, (which is also my workroom), my DD has one on her bed and one on her guest bed and two on her sofa, my DS has three on his bed (he likes to keep his heating bill down), and my Sis-in-law has one on her bed, one on her guest bed, and three on her sofa.

I've given them away except for a flying geese quilt I made for my Dad and posted that already.

So I'll include the picture of a dog we used to have wrapped in her quilt. You can't really see the quilt but she was our cute little angel and loved her 'love blankie.' The dobie in my avatar ate a big hole in the middle of this quilt when she was a puppy ... That's why God makes em' cute :)
