    I love the scrappy stars and the brown border - your right, that is something I would have never done, but it looks great! Nice work!

    I love the scrappy block! And I have to say, i think the neutral border works because it lets the eye be drawn to the pieced blocks, the real "stars" of the quilt. (having said that, I probably wouldn't have thought to put a neutral stop border myself, since I don't really care for or use beige/tan fabrics much)

    Gotta keep that DH happy. The backgrorund is perfect for all those bright stars. Do love those scrappy stars. Will look forward to picture after quilting is done. Has he offered suggestions for that also?

    Thanks for all the kind words, everyone! DH is a keeper, but I won't be soliciting opinions too often. I like the way 'our' (lol) quilt turned out though. Couple days ago he started going on about a design with curved lines and evenly spaced blocks.....I was going crosseyed, I couldn't grasp how that was going to happen. But Bless his heart, I wouldn't give him up for the world.
