    You got a great deal, and she is a beauty. IMHO, I would do nothing with the finish on the cabinet, except clean and wax, because once you refinish it, you really lose value of the age of the item. Picked up that info on Antique Roadshow. Have fun with the Anne

    you are so lucky... When I taught for Singer (in N.Y.C. Bronx) I used to teach on one of those... you are truly lucky. Back in those days, we also did "services".. that meant, we covered buttons,(Wish I still had that machine..) and made belts for customers... I left just 4 days before I gave birth to my son.. It was a wonderful time...
