Hello and a warm welcome from southeastern West Virginia. I buy lots of fabric on ebay. Some really good seller have lower prices and offer free shipping. I don't know if that would apply internationally. Have you checked the classifieds here? I've ordered some really nice things safely and securely from ladies on the board. Good luck....we quilters have to have our fabric!

Thanks..what a great welcome :-) I got an email recently from Ancestry.com..they have a few new Irish records to search -Catholic Parish records and Irish BMD as well as another one I cant remember-I expect you got that too http://www.ancestry.co.uk/ireland its really frustrating when the research stops and you feel like you've hit a brick wall.

OMG!! HI Ann Clare, great to see someone from Meath too! Hows it going? Everyone on here has been wonderful. I am only a rank beginner making quilts and the help and encouragement is amazing.
Can I ask where you buy your fabrics here or do you get them online as well?

The picture brings back so many good memories....we had plans to go to Ireland last spring.....in the end my husband didn't feel he could make that long of a trip...should have done it again sooner....we would LOVE the pace!![/quote]

Well it is a very long trip..the travel inbetween leaving and arriving can be exhausting...Hope he is in better form now though.

    Welcome from Maine.
My ancestors were from County Cavan in Ireland. Hope I spelled that right.
