Just think, if you'd used batiks, any side would have been the right side!

Brought a smile to my face, because that sound's like
something I would do. Sometimes when we start to do something for the first time, person teaching often assumes
we know more than we do. They need to start at the very
    beginning.

I could understand the pickle you were in, but I still had a good chuckle so thanks for sharing. Dar

I have always said I was glad for pictures when I make a dress or other garment because I don't always understand the directions

Very cute story. I'm sure we all have moments like that. But aren't you glad you stuck with it?

I have heard that question before said very seriously and meaningfully. So it is not had to understand that newones to sewing would not understand the lingo that the rest of us take for granted.
    Thanks for sharing. :)

What a cute story and I'm so glad you can laugh at it now too. It makes a big difference when you have someone take you under their wing and share with you the terminology related to any hobby. Each hobby has it's own terminology that makes no sense to the outsiders. Beginner's kits might consider adding a sheet with the meaning of the quilting terms used in the kit to aid the beginner from being overwhelmed like you were. Thank you for sharing us. :D :D :D
