    Go for it. Either take a high wattage light bulb to go in a hotel lamp (bring it back home) or an Ott lite with you and quilt till you wilt.

    Completely understand. Went to Missouri a couple of months ago by plane but made sure I at least took some quilting mags.

    When we go out of town and are driving, I usually take my machine. My husband is a golfer so I consider these items my "golf supplies". It is fun to sew when out of town because no phone calls, no cleaning, no cooking, etc.

    I can relate - I'm going to Cancun soon, and trying to figure out what to bring - maybe sew up some Dear Jane blocks and add the applique while on vacation...
