thanks, all. the compliments are a nice reward for having to dive into my scrap bags three times in one weekend. that's the hardest part for me. takes me ages to pick through and find colors i want to use. then i have to do it all again when i change my mind halfway through the blocks. :?

No not yet Joy will be a while. I am only using the BOM for it and am doing them at 9", so will need about 30 blocks. Am poss going to put a frame around each one to help them all work tog, would need less blocks if I made an alt block to go with them, haven't decided yet. But will definately post when I get something tog. Thanks for the lovely fabric :P

Did the centerpiece to accompany the runner. I did this so that I can get use to making prairie points and machine stitch in the ditch before working on the large piece. I decided to make it Christmas colors so she can use it on the full table (with extension leafs) during the holiday when the runner is off. I was going to put red as a center but decided it would be too bright on a dinner table, when food should be the main focus.

Well, it is true Annmarie that I'm an insomniac, but I don't really quilt too much at night except right after work and dinner. Remember too that I work late so I’ve a couple morning hours to do what I’d like (wonder what that is?).

I'm finding this block has really gotten much quicker in its construction. After the initial hunt and peck method of getting it together, just knowing how to piece it right helps tons. I actually felt lazy yesterday because I didn't take anything to work to quilt on my break. I suppose now another Hawaiian appliqué is in order.
