Just a start--I love it so far

You have JUST made my day! My DGD is asking for a quilt. Her fave color right now (she's 8) is GREY! I have been wracking my brains as to finding different greys. Now, thanks to YOU, I can just use a nice grey print as the background.... Your quilt is just lovely! What is the pattern name?

I wanted to go more scrappy and mix up where the gray is, but don't have big enough pieces in scraps--and I'm using all stash. Nothing else I have matches that gray enough to make me want to use it. So, since I'm not going to buy anything, this gray will do. I do love that fabric and working with gray is fun.

Karla, it's going to be a gorgeous quilt. I absolutely love the gray. The thing I noticed different(to give her the pinwheels) is that if you look at yours where the gray comes together on 4 blocks, all of your colored triangles point out. If you look at corresponding blocks on hers the darker triangles do not all point out. Also having such a different value, makes it more noticeable. Whereas, hers are closer in value so you don't see that all the darks don't always make a pinwheel.
