A friend broke her leg and wil have to stay in a rehab center for another month. She's a retired teacher and has a lot of apple stuff--------red apples. I went to JoAnns the other day to buy some apple fabric to make a big lap robe-------or what I prefer to call personal quilts------and couldn't find red apples. I did find green and yellow apples and found two wonderful matching fabrics. I'm using the turning 20 pattern, but using only the 3 fabrics. And obviously not getting anything done sitting here.

I was hoping to sew on a block, for my block of the month club. But I have family that showed up from Washington so I'm going to play with the baby grandson instead.

I'm in the DNA lab this week so I will do that and then come home and check the board. Maybe then I will work on one of four projects? LOL

I have been working on little chicken pincushions that will be used as part of the decordations for our guild luncheon. I have to fill my final nine with crushed walnut shells and stitch them up and I will have finished 25 of them.

Piecing a quilt for my son. Pattern is Hugs and Kisses. My goal this year is to make a quilt for each of my children for their birthdays!

I'm finishing up making little mattress covers for a changing table and cradle for my niece and nephew's new baby for when he gets here, then will make some kid fabric "sheets" for laying on top of the covers when in use...

And all this between running out to check to see what goat had her kids last and pen her up if she is not already penned; and try to get one goat to accept an unwanted little kid who is motherless! Wish me luck - I've tried her on her mother who does not want her and now a new mother, so hope it works... raising little goats is fun, but is not all glory! Love them though; keeps me overly busy this time of year, when truthfully I'd rather be quilting! :)
