This will be a wallhanging. Right now it measures 36.5"x51"

Liberty and eagle are both applique. The rest is pieced.
The word block are pre-printed panels I purchased at the AQS in Des Moines.
I also thought of detailing the eagle but since Liberty isn't detailed I thought it would look better if I leave it simple.

Thinking of adding a small red border then bind in navy blue...?
    what does everyone think.....
    LOVE IT!

It's my design, and I just "design as I go" so writing up a pattern is tough.

I literally cut each strip as I went.....measure what i need, cut, sew that on, measure what i need, cut, .....etc. etc.

Just beautiful and so patriotic. I want to make a quilt that will honor our service men ( have a nephew who in over
in the war zone) I want to make a quilt to honor all the time he has spent defending this country and us.

I just love your desigh and yes this would no-doubt be a good selling pattern if you chose to do so.

This is lovely! And I'm always amazed at those who can design and execute quilts! I might be able to tweak, but never design or execute! I love that Lady Liberty is not detailed. Again, wonderful quilt!

    Praying for Japan.

VERY nice. I LOVE TO SEE THE PATRIOTIC QUILTS!! I purchased a wooden (woodburned) and detailed sign/wall hanging for my daughter and her husband 2 years ago-Home of the Free BECAUSE of the Brave. he is being deployed. again. That was before I started quilting and my talents are not what yours are. someday. . Thanks for thinking of the soldiers. do you have someone serving?

I have a son in the military. Currently here in the states but served 18 months in Iraq right after 9-11.
LONGEST 18 months of my life!
