Thanks to everyone who has commented on my humble little attic window quilt! I can honestly say I never expected such nice compliments. I'm still a novice, just trying things, and the encouragement from other quiltmakers--all of you on this board-- is so helpful and feel-good making (not to be maudlin, but you guys are like my mother, who, when I first began sewing, bragged on everything I made. She didn't sew herself but happily went fabric shopping with me. I still miss that...and her, of course.....and can't help wishing she could see the quilts I've made). Positive reinforcement goes a very long way! Thank you all!
