for "the mother of my son..."; "special person..."; "looks great up close..."; "isn't photogenic..."; If these are hints to a puzzle, I'd bet our quilter made this beautiful quilt for herself and doesn't care what the neighbors think, because up close and in her home, it's just what she wants. How am I doing????LOL -

Yeah it's missing something, the "Mistake part". The quilt is gorgeous!

Quilters...quilters..quilters...we always torture ourselves because we look at our work so closely....closer that we should. Trust me your quilt is just beautiful and she would love it and so will the whole family.

I anticipate she'll lug it all over to show to virtually everyone. I just think, from a distance, well, it looses a lot of something.

What do you find wrong with this quilt? I would certainly not be worried about showing this quilt off. It is wonderful, you should be proud

It has soft seaside colors. Beautiful!!!!!
Sometimes low contrast can be warm and soothing

I might even name it "Pleasant Companion." It's wonderful.

The pattern is pretty and the fabrics work well in it.

So - it doesn't jump up and down and scream "look at me" - it is more like the person that one is comfortable with and can confide in.

I think it will be a "pleasant companion" for a long time.
