I would use them both! A small - 2" perhaps - of the green, then the outer wider border done in the blue.

How about a small green maybe 2-3" then the white border. I think it would make a good contrast. I like the baskets.

Let me add this, when I look at #2 It makes the flowers stand out, sorta draws the eye to them,... I sure like this pattern!!!
