It's funny you say that because I thought it was just me that had to keep a few. I had to keep 5 blocks, I figured I would have a quilt with several different blocks in it as I always have blocks that don't come out just right. In will call it my scrappy block scrappy quilt, and it will be the best one I make.

Oh boy..... I didn't purposely wait until the last minute. Just crazy busy. And just crazy. And my sister visiting, she's crazy too. But maybe she'll help me try to finish. I've had my strips cut since the beginning so I'll try to sew like a mad woman and mail out.

Good luck with that, SheriR. They sew up quick, you can do it! :-)

Sew away, Sheri - - - - sew away! Need lots of swappers for a great swap! Great to enlist your sisters' help if that's what it takes. Keep at it!

I had 5 "bad" ones also but since we send in groups of 4, that knocked out 2 full sets. Oh, well, i'll have plenty to rework to use for my quilt. I'd hoped to make it to 6 good sets but it just wasn't in the cards! (Scrappy is my favorite kind of quilt but after this swap, and the 2 other scrappy quilts i'm putting together simultaneously right now, I think i might temporarily be off scrappy!)

I wasps wondering if we were trying to have any semblance of order in our blocks by....say.....making sure the center diagonal was dark or light? I'm fixin to marathon see them.

Hi Sheri, no, I don't believe there were any rules about the order of colors. If there were, I missed them! I just put the strips together in whatever way pleased me at the time and I almost always ended up rearranging them once I'd sliced through them.

I tended to just put what I thought looked nice for the center line. Some were bright, some dark...
