Tastes vary. Looking at all the posts: this is a great group of quilters with excellent taste. It is nice to reflect. Oh I saw this and that one. The music in all the musicals is usually so upbeat, good to work by.
Anyone works to Rap? (just kidding)

Some great films mentioned here! I love Dirty Dancing (who doesn't?), The Lord of the Rings and The Green Mile. Also nearly everything with Morgan Freeman but especially Shawshank Redemption. And LOTS more.
Bit of useless info - I used to live in the Cotswolds, UK where much of Pride & Predjudice was filmed - the local town in the series is Lacock near where I went to horticultural college and the proposal scene was actually shot on my friends' Richard's and Liz's farm! He was told what crops he could and couldn't sow that year so that there would be no anachronisms. And so I've stood on the exact spot where Mr Darcy proposed to Elisabeth! Although unfortunately not at the same time! LOL

Just remembered another one - Moulin Rouge. Didn't realise how brilliant that was until nearly the end - up to that point I thought it was rubbish but once it clicked, I had to go back and see it again!

Seeing some others on the list made me think of one of my favorite Disney movies, "The Ugly Dachshund", The Journey of Natty Gnann, Iron Will, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken.............there's more, but have to go to work.

You know, speaking of Sam Elliot, one of the best movies I ever saw, as it touched me beyond belief was "Mask" - that one was such a tear jerker and came at an age for me when it had a huge impact on me.
